A Pentecostal Assemblies of Canada (PAOC) is Canada's big denomination of Pentecostal churches.

A organization includes all over 1,000 member congregations throughout Canada, including each province and territory. Several of its churches come comprised of ethnic minorites. A todays president of the PAOC is William D. Morrow.

Theologically, the church is in the Pentecostal tradition of Protestant Christianity and some of its churches align themsevles by owning a evangelical movement. A PAOC is socially conservative on issues such as same-sex marriage.

Its head professional is located in Mississauga, Ontario.

Mission statement
"To make disciples everywhere by the proclamation and the practice of the gospel of Christ in the power of the Holy Spirit; to establish local congregations and to train spiritual leaders."

Brief history
A PAOC officially incorporated within 1919 though their beginnings stretch when far back as 1906. Their historical roots come directly attached to the Azusa street revival in Los Angeles in 1906 which promptly spread around the world. A big pentecostal class action that emerged away from Azusa was a “Assemblies of God in the United States of which a PAOC is, au fond, the American counterpart.

Recent events
Starting March 2005, the PAOC has send notices across their member churches encouraging their parishoners to write or even call for their MP in opposition to same-sex marriage.
